I also have Skype for Business on my Windows Phone, where I get conversation notifications. If I'm not at my desk, there is notification in my outlook of missed conversation, and I have a blinking notification in my task bar of that person initiating the conversation. I get a notification in the bottom right corner of my screen when someone IMs me. I have the settings set to 'always be on top' and 'start the app in the foreground' but still, a conversation doesn't stay on top of other windows.įor example, if User 1 IM's User 2, then goes to work on something else while user 2 is responding, User 1 will miss the response because the IM screen hides behind. It flashes on the task bar but my users need it to pop up in their face in order for it to be effective. My organization is trying to use Skype for Business, primarily as an IM but I'm finding it to be less than satisfactory, mainly because the IM doesn't pop up on the user's screen when an IM is sent.
